Advice for if I should live in Florida or California

Advice for if I should live in Florida or California?
Im at 23 year old guy, living in Minnesota right now. Im planning on going to school for music business in either Los angeles or Orlando, Fl. I'm just wondering which would be better for a single guy like me to live....which state would be better for that music scene? Im gonna really focus on school but at the same time I want to meet people and have fun and party and whatnot. Any acvice and/or info. I could get to help my decision would be great!

Both places are rather expensive. And both places have a lively culture. But I'm going to have to go with California, and let me tell you why. The University of Southern California has an incredible music program. And it's not just classical performing, they have a program that's very current with the music industry today. Los Angeles (the city that the university is around) has a very strong music scene. Anything from West Coast rap to rock....it's there. The city has a very diverse population, something that will serve you well as you're looking for connections for your career as well as your personal life. Again, it's the college that's the strongest factor in the decision, and USC is a very, very good school. It's rather competitive, though...so I hope you have your act together! If expense is really an issue, maybe Florida really is best. I'm not exactly sure about the colleges there, however. With your determination, you should have no problem adjusting to whatever state you ultimately decide. I'm an aspiring musician and producer myself, and so I wish you all the best in your career!

California is under the economic crisis right now, so you're better off with Florida.
