What would happen to my riding lawnmower engine if i used 10w-40 oil in it? woud it be okay? i live in florida
I live in florida where its hot, and usually when im cutting grass its really dusty and i dont think that the reccomended 30wt oil is heavy enough to do the job. Thanks

I would change the oil asap. It is not good for the engine. Also do not use old gas in lawnmower engines either.

That would be fine.

it prolly be okay because its hot and the oil is not as thick in hot temp. and the engine will just give u more power and burn more gasoline

I think 30 wt is more heavy duty, but 10-40 is OK. How about 20-50?

I can't see why 30wt oil wouldn't do the proper job of lubricating the engine. It is after all what is recommended and as far as the dust is concerned, change and or clean the air filter more often as written in the engine manual. But in actuality it should not hurt to put in 10w40.Note;the 10w means winter use.

What is the best place to live in Florida

What is the best place to live in Florida?
umm i might be moving to florida and was wondering what is the best place to live if you are in 7th grade, like not too cold not to hot, by the coast i.e. houses for sale who are behind a lake. And teenagers my age what are the things that are in right now like clothing, bands, things to do, sports, celebertys... and other stuff like that

Talk to your parents about locations they'd like to live. You're not going to be able to move by yourself being in 7th grade. I live in Central Florida and I love it here! We have a small city between a couple larger ones, a little outside Orlando. The job market is not good in Florida right now (current unemployment rates are at 12% statewide), so your parents need to make sure they have a job BEFORE moving. It doesn't matter what locale you move to. No matter what, there will be someone who will have the same likes as you.

so i live in florida and last week i felt an earthquake. what could it possibly be?
so i live in florida and last week i felt an earthquake. what could it possibly be? i did some investigating to see if there were any earthquakes and actually at 930pm on may 1st there was a 6.6 earthquake in alaska. me and my friend were so scared by this weird subtle shaking sensation that we recorded what time it happened and we felt it at 10pm about 30 min after the earthquake in alaska. is it possible that we felt the earthquake?

The approximate distance between Alaska and Florida is about 2,500 miles. That is an absolutely huge distance. If you felt a slight tremor at that distance, don't you think communities closer to the epicenter - especially in Canada would be simply devastated? Also, if you felt the shockwave about 30 mins after, the shockwaves would be travelling at about 5,000 mph. It is highly unlikely due to the huge population centres between you and Alaska that would feel a much stronger shockwave.

Florida does occasionally have small quakes, if you felt one at the same time as the Alaskan quake it was just coincidental timing. According to the US Geological Service no quakes have been reported in Florida recently. Its possible you felt something limited to such a small area it was not picked up by instruments or was possibly a man made event, such as underground blasting with explosives. Check the USGS page for everything about earthquakes. http://earthquake.usgs.gov/regional/ceus/earthquake/
