I live in florida where its hot, and usually when im cutting grass its really dusty and i dont think that the reccomended 30wt oil is heavy enough to do the job. Thanks

I would change the oil asap. It is not good for the engine. Also do not use old gas in lawnmower engines either.

That would be fine.

it prolly be okay because its hot and the oil is not as thick in hot temp. and the engine will just give u more power and burn more gasoline

I think 30 wt is more heavy duty, but 10-40 is OK. How about 20-50?

I can't see why 30wt oil wouldn't do the proper job of lubricating the engine. It is after all what is recommended and as far as the dust is concerned, change and or clean the air filter more often as written in the engine manual. But in actuality it should not hurt to put in 10w40.Note;the 10w means winter use.
