is it possible to live between florida and bahamas - uk resident

is it possible to live between florida and bahamas - uk resident?
i am a uk citizen and would like to spend my times living 6 months in florida (hopefully on a b2 visa) and then in the bahamas (i am allowed to stay up to 8 months being from uk) without trying to work in each and having enough money to support myself. how easy is this? in order to re-enter florida after being in the bahamas for 6 months ,is that possible or do i need to return to the uk to get another b2 visa? any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to get visa advice to find out if your B2 visa becomes invalid due to a long absence from the USA. Best is to ask at the Embassy or Consulate that issued the visa. Good luck!

Well, you certainly cannot ask the visa officer if it is ok to LIVE in Fl. 6 months of the year... that word is a big NoNo. You may visit for up to 180 days a year on a B2 visa, but each time you enter the U.S. the immigration officer has the power to mark your I94 for the period of time HE thinks is appropriate...and you need to have reasons you want to stay for a certain period of tieme...and you wouldn{t want a very specific, predictable pattern wither. I am sure there are people who figure out how to do this...hope you hear from some...but, a pattern that looks like you are LIVING in the U.S. would be your undoing.
