How long should I lay outside to tan? I live in Florida, and I'm a guy

How long should I lay outside to tan? I live in Florida, and I'm a guy?
I have a pretty bad farmers tan on my arms, and I'd like to fix that on my stomach, and back.. I'm really pale on my stomach, and I live in Florida. How long should I lay out in the sun each day, and what should I use? I'm a guy btw.

I would say about 30 minutes :) You don't want to over do it. If you just want to even out your tan then apply a higher SPF sunscreen on your tanned skin. And a lower SPF sunscreen where you are lighter :)

Lie out (not lay out) about 30 minutes per session until you get some tan, to prevent sunburn. You don't need to use anything except common sense and a little restraint. It's often recommended that you avoid the hours between 10 or 11 a.m. and 1 or 2 p.m. when the ultraviolet is strongest.

I live in Florida, too. For tanning, I lay out in the sun around 3 (after 3, not before). Avoid laying out from around 11-3 (don't choose a time between those hours, because that time is when the sun has the most harmful rays on full blast lol). I do about 8-10 minutes on each side, each day (if it's not raining). I don't use any sun tanning lotion because I do it for only a few minutes each side. When I lay on my stomach (so I'm tanning my back), I'll have half of my face tanning (so if I'm laying down I don't lay down flat on my face, I turn it sideways) for 4-5 minutes (depending if I'm doing 8 or 10 minutes :P) one side, then 4-5 minutes the other side for the time I'm doing my back. If I'm tanning my stomach, I just keep my face straight up. It's good to only do it for a little bit at a time, instead of an hour each day or so, because it's more healthier to your skin. Also, since you have a farmer's tan, I would say put some sun tanning lotion on the tanned part of your body, and don't put anything on the "white" part of your body. Also even if it's cloudy outside, you can "tan" - people think that when it's cloudy nothing happens, so they stay out for longer with no sun screen, and then they get burnt. :P The harmful rays are still coming through, so don't stay out for too long, again, the same amount (8-10 minutes each side). Good luck, hope I helped! :)
