you have to be racing local tracks for years to earn your stripes per say. almost everyone in K&N or ARCA has been racing since they were kids. starting out in the street stock class's and working their way up. it takes years of experience and hundreds of thousands of dollars to compete at either one of those levels. so if your good enough at the local level get noticed and are lucky enough to have big dollar sponsors then maybe just maybe you can get a shot.

You need the right connections simple, you can do as good as anyone but go nowhere with the right people behind you, http://dawnsspot-brian.blogspot.com/2010/11/how-face-of-nascar-has-changed.html

Like the other people said start at your local track and work your way up. If by chance you can win any track championships along the way it get a little easier to attract sponsors and get the budget to move up with better equipment. NASCAR requires you to run and get experience in the K&N series or ARCA before you can even enter the Nationwide or Cup series. I'm not sure about the truck series but it's probabley the same.

Working your way up the ranks has changed quite a bit in the past few years. All the top Nascar teams already have development drivers signed on, some as young as 8 years old. The best advice I can give is move to NC and race as much as possible. Just don't plan on a career in Nascar any time soon. Most of the driving seats are already spoken for and will be for many years.

How much does it cost to live in florida

How much does it cost to live in florida?
I was curious about how much people needed to make to make a living in Florida? Is everything (like the rent on a house and tax) expensive? How would you compare it to California? Or maybe New York?

I live in South Florida, where's it usually warm all the time. Cost of rent for a 1 bedroom, with all amenities included (electric, cable, water, sewer, etc) will run $1100 a month. Add another $250 a month for food, another $200 for social entertainment, and $100 for gas/car repairs. So you can get by around here for about $1700 a month. If you have other bills, like credit cards, you'll have to include those too. In northern Florida, it's a little cheaper. Don't know how much it costs to live in NY or CA, although I always hear it's expensive, so it's probably cheaper in most of Florida.

The cost of living in Florida is cheaper than NY or Ca. Insurance and taxes are rather high here. But the wages are much lower. The majority of people in Florida earn $10.00 per hour or less. Our unemployment rate is higher than the national average. So when you decide to move to Florida make sure that you have a job that pays well before you move.

Ok, if you're splitting rent with someone, electricity bills are high here, and you have your own bills to pay for, and then you need to buy food gas.... You need to be making about $1000 per check to be able to live comfortably. If you're making half that per check, you're going to struggle.

Depends on the part of NY. More expensive than most of upstate, and less than downstate. Less than California. But just because it's cheaper and easier, don't mean it's cheap and easy.
