How can i keep my garage below 78 degrees at all times? I live in Florida and i need to keep my garage cool

How can i keep my garage below 78 degrees at all times? I live in Florida and i need to keep my garage cool.?
I live in Florida and I need to store food products in my garage. I need to keep my garage cool as I plan on storing food products in my garage. I need to keep the temperature in the garage at a steady 78 degrees. Is it more feasible to run the cooling from my exisiting central air or to get an independent system for the garage? Will I need to sheetrock around the walls inside the garage and or to add insulation??? any help will be greatly appreciated...

What you need is a dedicated system for your garage. It is no use trying to tap into your central system as you have differing needs in both areas and cannot hope to maintain temperatures at your desired set point in the garage. Secondly you will also need to ensure you are insulated in the walls and the ceiling, just putting sheetrock around the walls will help but nowhere as well as fitting insulation in the cavity as well. You will save in running costs of the machine over time. I know this is more money to install but if you do it right in the first place you will be alleviating future headaches and saving money in the long run. Hope this helps

(1) The exterior walls and the roof should be white, or as light a color as you can get. (2) You should install a ceiling of gyproc. (2) The walls and the ceiling should be insulated as much as possible, and painted white. (3) Any windows should have exterior shutters on them (white), closed during the day, no matter which direction they face. (Heat comes from the sky as well as from direct sunlight) (4) You should have an eaves exhaust fan and a vent at the other end to remove hot air from the attic space. (5) You should have a room air conditioner installed in the north wall if possible, east wall if not. (6) You should have a way of using the attic exhaust fan to pull cool night air into the garage itself, then up through the ceiling into the attic and then out.

Kismet pretty much had the right answer but I would add that to help keep the garage cooler, I would recommend adding 20 inches of blown insulation in the attic area of the garage as well as the insulation in the walls and sheetrock everything....2 x 4 walls are good but 2 x 6 would be even better at insulating---just have to add 2 inch strips to the existing 2 x 4 studs and insulate accordingly. You may also want to consider a powered attic vent for the garage attic to help lower cooling costs. And do buy a separate a/c unit for the garage.

At 16 you will need a parent, guardian to sign the account agreement as you are too young to enter into the contract. Since the bank needs to have a legal contract with the account holder in case of bad checks, fraud, overdraft, etc. they require an adult on the account with a minor. I always recommend going with a local bank so you can establish a good relationship with the bankers in your community.

bank of american has a young person account i got one for my daughter in her name only when she was 17 and she did not have a job, try to open a savings account first if you do not have a job and i think you must have a min of 25 dollars to open one, also try wachovia they have a minors account

At 16, you cannot open a bank account on your own. You have to have that mom of yours that you don't trust open it with you and be a cosigner. I bet she doesn't trust you either.

You become climatized. After you've been here 10 years, you'll think "surely it's going to snow" when the thermometer outside hits 60.

To add a romantic touch to a room.
3 :
Fire places were used to heat the house in the winter. It does get cold in Fl. during the winter months.
4 :
Believe it or not but during the winter months it can get real cold depending where you live in Florida. People tend to think it's tropical weather year round but the State of Florida is big with at least 3 different planting zones with occasional freezing in some parts. When the weather forecast a cold front with Northern winds...it gets really dry with no humidity and after living a while here your blood get thin and you get cold easily.

Well first off Florida isn't a country. You are looking for a county. I know that the Tampa Bay area is nice but every place in Fl is crowded and lots of old ppl too.
2 :
UH Florida is in the United States, it is a CITY in Florida not a country.
3 :
Florida is a state (not a country) in the south east corner of the United States. Please do a little research before you migrate so that you have more information on the place you really want ot settle down in
4 :
I beleive you are asking what "county", not "country" (Florida is in the country of the United States of America.) I am not familiar enough with the counties of Florida to give good advice.
5 :
I assume that you mean county. If so, I reccommend St. John's county. It is a laid back community that has just about everything. It is close to beaches (St. Augustine Beach, Ponte Vedra, etc.) It is also close to Jacksonville so there should be no trouble finding work.
6 :
country or county? REMEMBER TO VOTE FOR THE BEST ANSWER
7 :
well my suggestion is your home country is the best, bcoz no matter what are the offerings of new place you select, its culture, people, customs etc are very different from your home or country.also you have to leave your loved ones and natives to settle in a new place,so in my opinion with out any proper reason don't live your home country, other wise in future you feel sorry for it.

City not Country Boo!

Central Florida is the cheapest area. Coastal cities/areas are more expensive. The more 'tourist' the city, the more expensive. The large cities (Miami, St Petersburg, Orlando, Ft Lauderdale, etc) are very fast-paced and expensive, but you could live 30 minutes outside of town to get the lower cost but still have access to everything. The northern part of Florida has more weather changes (it can get snow). The southern part of Florida is basically 70 degrees F and up all year. Any part of Florida is subject to hurricanes!
10 :
I would tell you that it really depends on what you find important to you.... Dade and Broward counties (Miami & Ft Lauderdale) are a busier area with alot of people and a fast pace. definitely Hispanic population but not as much as used to live there. Hillsborough county (Tampa) is a busy area but pace is a little slower.... this is where I live and there is alot of people from PR...Cuba.... and South America in Tampa so some culture would be familiar Orange County (Orlando) has many many tourists that can make you crazy at times Every type of culture is represented in Orlando! Spanish is spoken in all the bigger counties/cities but some of the interioir (middle) counties can be quite backward and nonreceptive to people with accents..... if you could list the most important features to you it would be easier
11 :
I think they got the message on the country-county thing. You guys are all morons.
